A working professional can nominate an 'Eligible Individual' (or Self Nominate) for the VIWA 2025.
Following are the list of documents to be submitted for nomination
a) The filled VIWA 2025 Nomination Form
b) Duly completed curriculum vitae (of any format/pages)
c) Passport size photograph
d) Copy of Degree certificates (PhD or Equivalent)
e) Copy of the workplace ID

a) The VIWA 2025 no longer requires a hardcopy of the application
b) Non-compliant nominations will not be accepted for process/review
c) Acknowledgment of receipt of Nomination will be sent via email in 2/3 working days

II. Judging Criteria a) The VIWA 2025 judging is a peer review process. The panel (from diverse backgrounds, working individually) is instructed to score entries from 0 to 100, using the criteria. b) The VIF aggregates the scores to determine each category. The panel decision is final and binding. For each category/discipline (Eg. Outstanding Researcher – Science) the expert committee will select 3 nominees. c) However the Apex Committee reserve the rights to honour less or more than 3 nominees in any category who meet standards set by the expert committee. d) The committee will use discretion if an individual is nominated for two concurrent awards and will move the nomination to appropriate category based on their judgment. e) If a nominee meets the criteria for an award, other than the one nominated for, the committee will be deciding to move the nomination to a suitable category. Registration Fee The Women Award is part of the Annual Women's Meet – AWM; and the AWM is a self-supporting event and the event registration fees are the major source of revenue for running the event. All the (Administrative – Materials and Hall – Service Tax and Accounting – Website Design and Maintenance) expenses of the events are covered by the event income (registration fees from the participants) and Foundation operating funds. Entry Conditions – ENTRY BY INVITATION ONLY For the "Comfort, Safety and Enjoyment" of all delegates attending this event, Please be advised of the following norms. Entry to the venue is subject to complying the conditions and we appreciate your help to make this happen. I. Entry a) The Registered Delegate can collect the VALID ENTRY TICKET from the Registration Desk. b) The Guests/Accompanying Persons must have a VALID ENTRY TICKET to enter the Event Hall. c) The Delegates can get required number of Entry Ticket at the Registration Desk. II. Refusal of Entry or Ejection a) Failure to produce/show a VALID ENTRY TICKET may result in refusal of entry. b) Any person found not to be wearing an official event wristband/ID Card will be ejected from the event. c) Any person gaining unauthorized access or causing a disturbance or refusing to comply with requests from Security/Staff will be ejected from the event. d) You will be responsible for your belongings, do not leave them unattended. Possessions may be searched before entering the venue, during the event or when leaving the venue. If you refuse to participate in searches, you may be denied entry or asked to leave the venue. Dress Code Professional appearance is an important aspect and the clothing must conform to a reasonable standard of decency relevant to the event. The Delegates, Guests and Accompanying Persons must be appropriately dressed IV. Code of Conduct The behavior can influence the experience for you and others at an event and we expect a high standard of behavior at our venue. Consider other delegates when using mobile devices. During the Technical Sessions and ceremony they should be turned off or on silent At Venus, we are committed to providing a Friendly and Welcoming Environment for all, regardless of gender, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and religion (or lack thereof) Participate in an authentic, active and collaborative way, so as to contribute to the health and longevity of this event Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions. Refrain from demeaning or discriminatory behavior Kindly mind your surroundings and fellow participants. And alert event if you notice a violations of this code of conduct.
Question – 1: What is Women Awards? Answer: The Venus International Women Awards (VIWA) scheme was instituted in the year 2016 by the Centre for Women Development of Venus International Foundation (VIF), are presented yearly during the Annual Women's Meet. The scheme has a Policy, Nomination Form, and Judging Process etc that are governed by the Board of Trust. The Award is a Certificate. It Recognizes Individuals for their Quality, Reliability and Competence to Apply Knowledge and Skills to carry out specific tasks. Question – 2: What are the eligibility criteria to apply for VIWA 2025? Answer: Please refer clause 3 and 4 of the policy document Question – 3: How many entrants win VIWA Awards? Answer: For each category/discipline (Eg. Outstanding Woman Researcher – Computer Science) the expert committee will select 3 nominees. However the Apex Committee reserve the rights to honour less or more than 3 nominees in any category who meet standards set by the expert committee. Question – 4: What are the VIWA process? Answer: Please refer clause 8 of the policy document Question – 5: Why the "Selected Nominee" of VIWA 2025 has to Register for the AWM Program ? Answer: The AWM is organized every year at Chennai city and it is a self-supporting event. The Meet registration fees are major source of revenue for running the event. All the expenses (Administrative – Materials and Hall – Service Tax and Accounting – Website Design and Maintenance) of the meet are covered by event income (registration fees from participants) and Foundation operating funds. Click here to know more information on Event Registration Fee Question – 6: After registering for AWM, if the "Winner" is unable to attend ceremony, then, how to receive the Award? Answer: We expect the Award Winner's presence on the day of Ceremony. In case, if the Winner is unable to attend, She can choose any 'ONE/TWO' of the following options to receive the VIWA Award. 6.1 She can DEPUTE A PERSON to current year 'VIWA 2025' Ceremony 6.2 IN ABSENTIA CATEGORY: In this case, the VIWA Team will send a Soft Copy of the Award Certificate during 3rd week of March 2025 and the Hard Copy of the Award Certificate via courier to the Winner's Address during the 4th week of March 2025. 6.3 TO ATTEND or DEPUTE A PERSON FOR NEXT YEAR (VIWA 2026) Ceremony: The Winner can attend or depute a person for next year 'VIWA 2026' Ceremony; and can "Receive the Award" under the Past Awardee Category. An Official Invitation Letter, to join for 'AWM 2026' will be communicated prior to the Event. In this option, She need not register for AWM 2026. Note: In this case, the VIWA Team will send a Soft Copy of the Award Certificate during 3rd week of March 2025 and the Hard Copy of the Award Certificate via courier to the Winner's Address during the 4th week of March 2025.
