The Venus International Women Awards – VIWA (is a part of the Annual Women's Meet – AWM) 'Acknowledges and Celebrates the Achievements of Woman Professionals'. It is convened by the CARD of VIF & conducted in accordance with the VIF BOARD MEETING resolutions.

The Award is applicable for Women Professionals of any nationality in the age group of 24 - 65 years. The applicant must have completed Post Graduate and/or Doctorate degree (or equivalent) prior to the date of submission of nomination application.

  • A working women professional who is in 'Regular Service in Academic/Research Institution' can nominate an 'Eligible Individual' (or Self Nominate) for the VIWA 2019

Following are the list of documents to be submitted for Nomination :

  • The filled VIWA 2019 Application Form
  • Duly completed curriculum vitae (of any template structure/pages) in a PDF format
  • Passport size photograph (JPEG/PNG format)
  • Copy of Degree certificates (PhD or Equivalent) in a PDF/JPEG/PNG format
  • Copy of the work place ID (PDF/JPEG/PNG format)

The following are the VIWA Process

  • Step-1: Nomination papers will be sent for screening process (preliminary selection)
  • Step-2: Acknowledgement intimation will be communicated to the Nominee
  • Step-3: VIWA Team may ask the proof for the credits mentioned in the CV. (Optional)
  • Step-4: Cross verifying the data submitted & forwarding it to the Committee
  • Step-5: The selected nominees will be communicated via a formal letter via mail
  • Step-6: AWM 2019 Registration
  • Step-7: Release of the winners list in the official webpage
  • Step-8: Award presentation ceremony
  • Step-9: Release of the AWM & VIWA 2019 report

Judging Criteria

TThe VIWA 2019 judging is a peer review process. The panel (from diverse backgrounds, working individually) is instructed to score entries from 0 to 100, using the criteria. The VIF aggregates the scores to determine each category. The panel decision is final and binding. For each discipline / category (Eg. Distinguished Woman - Engineering) the expert committee will select 2 Nominees. However the Apex Committee reserve the rights to honour less or more than 2 nominees in any category who meet standards set by the expert committee.

    AWM is a self-supporting event and the event registration fees are the major source of revenue for running the event.

    All the expenses of the events (Accounting and Auditing fee, Bank charges - Employees Salary/Benefits, Equipment/Major Rentals - Internet, Labor cost - Lunch and Hall Expenses - Gifts/ Premiums, Materials, Office Rent and Maintenance - Packaging, Photography, Planning, Postage Expense - Printing and Stationery, Promotion & Publicity, Publications - Stage decoration expenses - Taxes - Electricity, Telephone - Website Design & Maintenance) are covered by the event income (registration fees from the participants) and Foundation operating funds.

    Award Recipients have to wear Formal Dress or thier National Costume.
    There are no restrictions to color or design.
    Audience attending only the ceremony can wear clothing of their own choice

    The foundation is arranged two official photographers to capture the moment.
    The same will be floated in the website and the link will be sent to participants on or before March 4, 2019.

Ans: Venus International Women Awards (VIWA) scheme was instituted in the year 2016 by the Centre for Advanced Research and Design (CARD) of Venus International Foundation (VIF). It is presented yearly during the Annual Women's Meet (AWM) that is conducted during March month of the year. Q6. After registering for the AWM, if the Winner is unable to attend the same, how to get the Award ?
Ans: We expect the Award Winner's presence on the day of Celebration. If not, She can can depute a person to get the Award during the ceremony. (or) VIWA team will send the Award Certificate, Medal and Memento via courier to the Winner's Address during the 2nd week of March 2019. However, as soon as the Winner register for the event, Her name will be appear in the Award Winners List, Her Profile will be uploaded in the Web page & Her details will be included in the VIWA Report
